the last one...

With mixed feelings of sadness and joy, my Aunt Mary passed away this afternoon. She had a great, full life and it was time, just a shame that at the end she no longer knew herself or others. My cousin, Wilbo, has a place in Heaven, he is the best son anyone could have! Somehow the way we care for our pets is more fitting than the way we care for our people.

To honor knitting in public yesterday, I worked on my toe up socks on the front porch while my 22 y/o baby mowed the grass --

What happened to sleeves on tee-shirts? I tried on so many and they seem to be sleeveless not short sleeved, with my arms it just doesn't work, so my crafty side decided to buy some regular tee's and embellish... I finally figured out how to put on designs that don't end up on my shoulder, under my arms, or as headlights.

This week we are having a book fair at school, when I scheduled it, it was a good idea now that its coming up the last week of school, I wonder what I was thinking.

I have lots of pictures, as soon as I get out the link to the camera they'll be up! This week for sure (famous last words)

its been a long long time

Wow does time fly... Finished up another semester – two to go and I will be done done done with grad school once again – famous last words, if it wasn’t for the great classmates it would really be a drain. Had a few (count 6 – 3 in one week) procedures with anesthesia – what an invention!

Took mom twice for cataracts, was bust-my-buttons proud of my baby graduating college and so pleased (really) to have him back home, also my niece who is on to grad school, another niece and a nephew soon to complete high school which makes for a busy spring season.

On the knitting front, made a cute baby sweater and bonnet, two and a half pairs of socks – working on my first toe ups right now. In love with the Turkish toe what a neat way to start out a toe, thanks Deb for the directions that are way too easy to mess up!

Only twelve more school days with the kids, five more days in school without kids, then a few days of classes and summer vacation begins.
